There’s something about fall in Kennett Square that just feels right.
The crisp air, beautiful shops, incredible food, the mushroom farms, and a calendar full of events that make you want to spend an entire Saturday or Sunday wandering around town.
And this fall, Short Sweet Saucy has two Kennett Square events we’re especially excited about: the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival and Clover Market.
If you love handmade, beautiful things for your home, noshing on some food, & finding something you didn’t know you needed until you saw it, these two markets are for you.
🍄 Kennett Square Mushroom Festival
September 12–13, 2026
First up is one of Kennett Square’s signature events: the 41st Annual Mushroom Festival, happening Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 2026.
The Mushroom Festival is a celebration of everything that makes Kennett Square special. It's the mushroom industry, local farms, food, community, and the makers/small businesses that bring people from near and far to this small town.
This two-day festival fills Kennett Square with food, entertainment, handmade vendors, mushroom-themed finds, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile. More than 200 vendors are expected throughout the festival, making it a wonderful opportunity to discover local makers and pick up something unique.
And, of course, there will be mushrooms everywhere. From classic fried mushrooms and mushroom soup to creative dishes and local mushroom-inspired products.
Being a local, it’s also a particularly fun place for us to bring the Short Sweet Saucy collection. Our kitchen and cocktail pieces are made for people who love to cook, entertain, & gather.

Then, just a few weeks later, we’ll be back in Kennett Square for one of our favorite kinds of shopping days: Clover Market.
Clover Market is known for its carefully curated mix of handmade, vintage, and antique vendors, and the Kennett Square market brings nearly 100 vendors together for a full day of shopping, food, music, and community.
The fall Kennett Square Clover Market takes place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 10 AM–4 PM at 600 S. Broad Street, right across from Kennett High School.
This is exactly the kind of market we love and we are so fortunate to be a part of it.
You can come looking for one thing and leave with something completely unexpected. It could be a vintage treasure, a handmade piece for your kitchen, a hostess gift, or something beautiful simply because you fell in love with it.
